American Legion baseball is a premier, high school / post high school level summer wooden bat baseball program in the Northeast and throughout the country. Weston, through the Weston Baseball Association, partners with Wilton to field a Junior American Legion and Senior American Legion team. Both play from June through early August each year, are coached by independent professional coaches and play against other American Legion teams in Fairfield County. Each team plays a schedule of approximately 30 games.
Any Weston high school age baseball player interested in competitive summer baseball should plan to try out for and play on the either the Junior American Legion baseball team or Senior American Legion Team.
Registration for Summer 2010 American Legion Baseball is now open. Final rosters will also be announced and play starts in June. Senior Legion Baseball is a 19 and under program. Players born on or after January 1, 1991 are eligible. Junior Legion Baseball is a 17 and under program. Players born on or after January 1, 1993 are eligible.
To register please mail the player's name, age / birthdate, position, address, email address and phone number to Weston Baseball Association, 1 Old Easton Turnpike, Weston, CT 06883 along with a $400 deposit. Checks should be made out to Weston Baseball Association. The fee will be $875 with the balance due upon announcement of the final roster.
